TubeNotes helps you turn a YouTube transcript into something you can read, quote and keep. Open a YouTube watch page, click the extension and scan the page. TubeNotes first chooses captions in your interface language when available, preferring manual captions, then falls back to manual English captions or another available track. You can choose another caption language; manual and automatic tracks are labelled. Read the transcript beside its timestamps. Click a timestamp to jump to that moment in the video. If you switch videos, scan again before copying or exporting a transcript.
Copy the transcript to your clipboard or download it as TXT, Markdown, SRT or VTT. TXT can include or omit timestamps. Markdown includes the video title, channel and source URL, with chapter headings when the video provides player chapters or chapter timestamps in its description. Available chapters also group the transcript in the popup, so you can move through a longer talk by topic.
TubeNotes uses captions already available on YouTube. If caption requests do not return usable text, it tries YouTube's transcript data and then the page's transcript panel. The source is shown in the popup. For these fallback sources, the transcript language is the one shown on YouTube and may differ from the caption language you selected. Availability depends on the video; TubeNotes does not create missing captions or translate them.
Your transcript is processed on your device. Only display and export preferences are saved locally. No account, analytics, AI service or separate upload is required. TubeNotes is an independent extension and is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.

看视频时，如果你想把讲过的话留下来，TubeNotes 可以帮你读取 YouTube 已有的字幕。先打开视频页面，再点扩展里的扫描按钮。扩展优先选择与界面语言相符的字幕，并优先使用人工字幕；没有时会回退到英语人工字幕或其他可用字幕。你也可以选择其他字幕语言，人工字幕和自动生成字幕会分别标明。每行文字旁边都有时间戳，点击就能回到视频里的那一刻，做笔记或核对引用时不用来回拖进度条。切换视频后，请重新扫描再复制或导出字幕。
字幕可以复制，也可以下载成 TXT、Markdown、SRT 或 VTT。TXT 可以选择是否保留时间戳；Markdown 会带上视频标题、频道和原始链接。如果视频提供播放器章节或简介中的章节时间戳，字幕会按章节分组，导出的 Markdown 也会保留章节标题。
如果字幕请求没有拿到可用文字，TubeNotes 会尝试读取 YouTube 的字幕数据，再尝试页面上的转写文稿面板。弹窗会显示字幕来源；通过这两种方式读取时，字幕语言以 YouTube 页面为准，可能与所选字幕语言不同。有些视频没有字幕，扩展不能替它生成字幕，也不提供翻译。
字幕在你的设备上处理，扩展只在本地保存语言、主题和导出偏好，不收集用户数据，不上传字幕，也没有统计分析或第三方 AI 服务。TubeNotes 是独立扩展，与 YouTube 或 Google 没有关联。
